Longtime manager of WWE, US wrestling empire Vince McMahon has reportedly agreed to pay more than $12 million over the past 16 years to silence allegations of sexual misconduct and infidelity. Wall Street Magazine.
This amount is much higher than what has been known in the public domain.
Also, according to the American newspaper, four women – all previously associated with WWE – signed contracts with the 76-year-old who prevented them from talking about their relationship with him.
McMahon resigned as president and CEO of WWE in mid-June, pending an investigation into allegations of misconduct. However, McMahon continues to oversee the creative side of WWE during the investigation.
At the time of the announcement, it was Wall Street Magazine She said McMahon paid $3 million to a former paralegal who said she had been sexually harassed at her workplace.
WWE has named Vince McMahon’s daughter, Stephanie McMahon, interim president and CEO for the duration of the investigation.
The company said it would not comment until the investigation was completed.
