### 20 Years of Struggle 10 Years of Life: Anniversary of a Civic and Cultural Project The Collectif Job project celebrates 20 years of life and 10 years of programming in the workspace! Date of October 1, 2 and 3, 2021 for the “Fête de la place à Job” event Come Blow Out the Candles for the Double Anniversary which opens the 2021-2022 season of Collectif Job. 20 years ago, former factory employees, citizens and associations struggled to keep the building they kept alive and vibrant for 10 years. Let’s find them and build the future together! ### History of the Job Building An emblematic place in the working history and the social and architectural history of Toulouse, the Job Building is located in the heart of the Sept-Deniers district of Toulouse. After ten years of struggle, in October 2011, it was again invested by associations, residents and citizens. 2021 is the year of this double anniversary: ​​* 20 years of fighting to save the “Admiral Job” building as part of a common industrial heritage * the 10 years of creating the working group and opening the ” workspace. The associations that were the source of this renaissance came together as a group with a dual purpose: * Implementation of an animation project Cultural and artistic creativity starting with local initiatives, promoting the expression and participation of citizens from the territory of the Denyi September region and opening up to the city, agglomeration and more… * Experience an innovative method of collective governance in relation to the values ​​of participatory democracy and popular education ### Program The Anniversary Season, created jointly with all partners, residents, users and communities, will be launched on Friday, October 1, 2021. Candles will be blown out around a formal ceremony at the hour 6.30pm, followed by a concert and banging, the amazing “GIGN,” then lighting up the function building with fireworks. Doors open on Saturdays from 4:30 p.m. for a festive program in the square with Les SoupirsHâché(E)s, Qui dit qui est, La Baraque and the citizen photo booth. From 5 pm, Arc en Ciel Théâtre hosted a debate experience called “Job 2041”. At 7 p.m., gather in the theater for “Job, a work-class epicic” from Une Petite Lueur. Finally, at the end of the day a big party at the foot of the building with the students of Music’Halle and then The Big Fun (k) Music’Halle Orchetra to get you dancing until the final lighting of the workspace! Finally, the collective is waiting for you to discover the exhibition “Job Sept-Deniers, from the factory to the space of the citizen”, a unique exhibition that brings together many images, including those of the famous Jean Dieuzaide. This exhibition led to the publication of an eponymous book that will be sold on the site.
