But then the food disappeared, prompting the astronauts to search for the culprit. Did someone steal tomatoes to make a salad? Frank Rubio, who holds the record for the longest stay in orbit by an American, was charged. It was he who harvested the tomatoes in March 2023, the first tomato grown in space.
