Firefighters quickly responded to put out a fire at the historic Timberline Lodge hotel that served as the film's filming location the shiningFilm released in 1980, directed by Stanley Kubrick. The hotel, located at an altitude of 1,828 meters on Mount Hood in Oregon, suffered minor damage, according to the hotel's Facebook page.
