An aperitif and picnic in honor of seven representatives of the English town of Broadclyst in Devon, at Semaphore, on Sunday 28 May, was organized by the twinning committee of Bloughpanalec-Lesconil and the municipality. A delegation came to stay for four days. “This is the first time since Brexit and Covid,” notes Denis Jeanson, chairman of the group. To promote the exchanges, “administrative issues must be resolved, especially the acquisition and cost of passports. During previous exchanges, an average of twenty residents of Bradglist traveled with their children.
During their speeches, the mayor, Cyril Lee Clack and Denise Jeanson, stressed the importance of restarting exchanges and hoped that in the future, these concerns would disappear. A meeting has already been set up in England next year and another in two years’ time, in Plowpanalec.
The duo will organize a conference on “France Germany 1871-” on May 31 at 6:30 pm in the room of the Secular Association with the Honorary Consul Henri-Alain Le Fevre in Finisterre, Germany. 2023 : From Conflict to Friendship »
