Pork balls with ketchup and fruits


Servings: 4 – Preparation: 20 minutes – Cooking: approximately 15 minutes

ingredients

  • 750 grams (1.5 pounds) lean ground pork
  • 250 ml (1 cup) onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) 35% cooking cream
  • 1 concentrated vegetable stock cube
  • 1 egg
  • 250 ml (1 cup) bread crumbs
  • 250 ml (1 cup) medium wheat semolina
  • 90 ml (6 tablespoons) canola oil
  • 500 ml (2 cups) fruit ketchup
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) maple syrup
  • Salt and pepper to taste

In a bowl, using a hand blender, puree the onion, garlic, cream, stock and eggs.

The second step

In a larger bowl, mix the resulting mixture with the meat, bread crumbs, salt and pepper.

Step 3

We form small balls and then roll them in wheat semolina.

Step 4

In a hot frying pan, over medium heat, fry the meatballs in a little cooking oil, for two minutes on each side.

Then, over low heat, continue cooking for 5 minutes.

Remove the meatballs from the pan and remove the remaining oil.

Step 7

In the same hot pan, heat the fruit ketchup and maple syrup, stirring for 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 8

Then add the meatballs and continue, taking enough time to coat them well in the sauce.

Step 9

Serve the meatballs in small pieces or accompanied with green vegetables and starch of your choice.
