A video posted on TikTok in which an American delivery woman has a tense argument with a couple who refuse to tip her for a grocery order worth several hundred dollars has gone viral.
In the video, the delivery woman argues in favor of the importance of tipping, given the effort she put into delivering an order totaling $400 ($540 CAD) worth of merchandise.
For their part, customers defend the principle that tipping is optional.
“You should see how much work this is and understand that I should get a tip,” the delivery woman says.
“No, you don’t deserve a tip,” the customer immediately answers, who has no intention of giving up, and also tells him that she is “crushing the pasta.”
The main character in question denies this assertion, then shrugs: “Anyway, these noodles don’t work for you anymore,” she replies, determined to take the entire order back to the grocery store.
“I had to pack all of this into my car, bring it to you and unpack it. You didn’t pay me. You paid for the delivery app,” she continues to argue.
The video has been viewed 1.5 million times and sparked a lively debate among netizens.
