The NFL regular season hasn’t started yet, but a new candidate has already emerged. Nathaniel “Tank” Dale of the Houston Texans outdid himself Thursday night.
During a preseason game in which the Texas representatives won 20-9 over the New England Patriots, he was a third-round pick in the most recent draft play in the second quarter.

At the goaltender, quarterback Davis Mills released a pass to Dale, who had positioned himself near the drive zone line. The receiver jumped the ball, but the target eluded him. Before hitting the ground, the 23-year-old managed to tuck it between his knee and his right hand to finally secure it.
This touchdown allowed the Texans to take the lead and never look back after that.
Dale, would attempt to make his place in the NFL after five seasons in the NCAA, with three different colleges. It was with the Houston Cougars that he had his breakthrough, being included in the AAC Team of the Year in 2021 and 2022.
