Marriott opens first Moxy hotel in Australia

Powerful hotel group Marriott has expanded its Moxy Hotels brand in Australia with the opening of Moxy Sydney Airport Hotel. Located in Muscat, the new 301-room hotel is approximately 10 minutes from Sydney International Airport (SYD) via the Moxy Airport Shuttle.

Inspired by Muscat’s industrial and art deco heritage, Moxie Sydney Airport features interiors designed by Canadian firm MAED.

The hotel lobby features exposed ceilings, wrought iron beams and natural materials designed to capture the open, airy atmosphere of the converted warehouse.

The hotel’s facade is distinguished by a remarkable public art mural created by local artist Elliot Routledge, known for his unique abstract designs.
