Laurentian appoints three new members to its board of directors

(Montreal) Laurentian Bank has announced the appointment of three new members to its board of directors, with Johan Brunet, Paul Stennis and Jamie Hobbs serving on the board since Wednesday.

These new appointments bring the total number of members to 13, including President and CEO of the Montreal Foundation, Eric Provost.

Johane Brunet is a full professor in the Marketing Department at HEC Montréal. She sits on the boards of several other companies, including the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ), of which she is Chair.

For his part, Paul Stennis is currently Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hydro-Québec. He holds a bachelor's degree from McGill University and an MBA from Concordia University, and was senior vice president and treasurer at Bell Canada Enterprises from 2009 to 2018.

Meanwhile, Jami Hobbs is a former executive director in the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions.

These new appointments to the Board of Directors come approximately four months after the appointment of Mr. Provost as President and CEO of Laurentian Bank, who was recalled to replace Rania Llewellyn.

MI Llewellyn and then-chairman Michael Mueller left their positions in early October after a computer outage that lasted several days.
