Julian Alaphilippe should start his 2024 season in Australia if the Tour of Flanders is his main objective this spring.
Julien Alaphilippe announced a few weeks ago that the Tour of Flanders in April would be his first objective at the start of the 2024 season, however far away from the Old Continent the season begins for the double world champion.
Tour town under the scheme
In fact, according to our information, the 31-year-old rider will compete in the Australian races that open the World Tour calendar for the second time since his arrival among the professionals in 2013. The first tour is Down Under from January 16 to 21.
For his return to Europe, Julian Alaphilippe noted his participation at Stade Bianche and Milan San Remo. However, no announcement has been made as to whether or not he will take part in the next Tour de France, which passes through his hometown of Saint-Amand-Montrond on Tuesday 9 July.
