The correspondence was signed by the Coordinating Officer for Economic Affairs, Eddy Brio Bambudi, and Deputy Secretary, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Australia’s Southeast Asia and Global Partners Group, Michelle Chan.

Prospera is a collaborative project between Indonesia and Australia that aims to promote strong and sustainable economic growth.

The Economic Management Program brings together Indonesian and international experts to support Indonesian economic policy priorities.

These include tax administration, health system reform, recovery from Covid-19, digital acceleration, disability inclusive policies, as well as climate and energy.

Michael Chan said that beyond short-term challenges such as post-pandemic economic recovery, Indonesia has a huge economic opportunity in the future, and Prospera can help policymakers take advantage of it.

Prospera has established partnerships with approximately 30 companies in Indonesia.

These include the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, Statistics Indonesia, the Audit Authority of Indonesia, and the Ministry of Government Machinery and Bureaucratic Reform.

Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Penny Williams said Prospera has become a valuable resource to help decision-makers in Indonesia navigate increasingly complex challenges. – V.N.A
