Carantec Art Fair will be held from July 15th to August 20th. About sixty amateur artists, painters and sculptors will be exhibiting their work. After residing for three years at the City Hall Wedding Hall, the show will return to Espace Jack and thus find an even bigger deck.
City Council Creates Prize for Art Salon
In the summer of 2023, the Municipality of Carantec is innovating by creating a prize for the Salon des Arts. This prize, in the amount of 500 euros, will be awarded on the opening day, Saturday 15 July, after deliberations by the jury. He will choose the latter from among the 60 bidders. It will consist of Jean-Henri Pregent, graphic artist and president of the association organizing the show, Marion Picart, cultural assistant, and three representatives from the world of the arts.
Meanwhile, one of the exhibiting artists, Catherine d’Hautivoye, has already distinguished herself since one of her works entitled “Au loin” was chosen to illustrate the poster for the 2023 show. An acrylic painting representing a landscape of a beach and rocks.
