I actually had to give up hosting one of America’s most famous game shows, Danger!Mike Richards was also fired from his position as executive producer on the show on Tuesday.
The 46-year-old was chosen to replace star Alex Trebek, who died last year of cancer after hosting the game show since 1984.

A few days after Sony Pictures Television announced his appointment, Mike Richards found himself at the center of a controversy over disturbing comments about his co-hosts and women in general, made eight years earlier on one of its podcasts.
He gave up on making the show, but that wasn’t enough to defuse the criticism. He had scored five episodes as a host for the show before he was fired from his position.
“We were hoping that when Mike left this role as host Danger!That would have alleviated the difficulties we have all known in recent weeks. That clearly didn’t happen,” Susan Brett, director of Sony Pictures Television, said on Tuesday.
