After the incredible release of the third season of Virgin River and the huge popularity it is enjoying on the Netflix streaming platform, fans are wondering why the series hasn’t been renewed yet for a season 4 and why it’s taking so long.
So far, Virgin River’s third season has proven to be one of the most shocking parts of the drama, especially with the twists and turns of the last few episodes and some of the deaths we might see in season 4.
The ending made the wait for Season 4 unbearable for viewers, and many are hoping that the Season 4 release isn’t too far away. But what did the Netflix streaming platform say?
So far, Netflix has not yet confirmed the renewal of the series, nor the development of the fourth season due to the lack of advertisements, although early signs of a renewal continue to grow more and more.
But according to the June release of ProductionWeekly, production started at the end of June and is scheduled to finish on November 30, 2021. So everything is being kept confidential until Netflix confirms its renewal.
Remember that each Virgin River season precedes the previous season, and that the wait between seasons two and three was more than seven months. Therefore, if these reports are correct, the fourth season is expected to hit screens in early 2022 at the earliest.
In the meantime, you can re-watch seasons 1 to 3 that are available in full on Netflix.
