The Premier League is pledging to support top-level women's football with a £20m loan (around €23.5m), a move approved at a meeting of WSL and Championship clubs this week.
This interest free loan announced Sky NewsRepayments will be made once women's football reaches £100 million in annual revenue (around €117 million).
The move is part of an effort to accelerate the commercial development of women's football. Nikki Doucet, a former Nike executive turned chief executive of NewCo, is poised to acquire two major divisions of women's soccer, planning to use the funds to boost the growth of women's soccer. Interest in the sport is growing due to the performance of the England national team in recent tournaments.

Dawn Airey, chairman of the WSL and Championship, has revealed her ambition to make the WSL the first women's competition to generate £1 billion in revenue over the next ten years.
The cash injection comes as England's success at Euro 2022 and strong attendance at the last Women's World Cup boosted public interest in women's football.
