The port city of Mykolaiv, in southern Ukraine, near Odessa, was relentlessly bombarded during the night from Friday to Saturday, with bullets hitting a cancer care center and an eye hospital, according to an AFP journalist.

The windows of a newly renovated cancer center, where patients undergo chemotherapy during the day, are shattered. The effects of the projectiles were visible on the doors.
They fired on these civilian areas without any military targets. Here there is a hospital, an orphanage and an ophthalmology center ”, all of which are located in the Ingulsky district in the north of the city, noted Dmytro Laguchev, the head of the hospital.
At the time of the strikes, there were no patients or caregivers at the cancer center. But the eye hospital has an unspecified number of patients.
“We spent the whole night in the basement, everything was shivering, the patients were terrified,” said the director of the center, Kasimira Rylkova.
In the Ingulsky district, the residents no longer have heating and many of them are now forced to leave.
