A week ago, the Canadian was on the Los Angeles squad, preparing to face the Los Angeles Kings. However, in the evening, the club planned its annual Rookies’ Dinner, an evening in which the team would go out to a restaurant and have dinner. Pay the bill on arm Recruits.
It’s a rite of passage for youngsters who are concretely in their first year in the league.
Last year, the club relied on five new players (Juraj Slavkovski, Kayden Gohle, Arber Cicaj, Jordan Harris, and Jonathan Kovacevic), so each player did not have to pay a fortune. However, this year, there were only two inductees, Jayden Strobel and Matthias Norlender.
And both men had just arrived in the NHL, so they had their AHL salaries in their pockets. We agree that we are far from the hundreds of thousands of dollars they make in Pittman’s circle.
However, the good news is that the veterans on the team did not hesitate to lend a helping hand children : Jayden Strobel confirmed that it was the veterans who paid the bill that night.

Strobl suspects that perhaps he and Norlender will have to return the favor eventually, but he still enjoys seeing his colleagues act this way.
In fact, it demonstrates a great team spirit within the team. The players didn’t have to do this, but they still wanted to help their young teammates by taking care of the bill, as stated Slav Last year, generally very expensive.
Jonathan Kovacevich noted that veterans often end up helping out, but this time, they picked up the entire bill, Strobel appears to claim. It’s nice to see guys helping each other out like this.
But the good news for Strobel is that he is playing like a guy who deserves to be in the NHL for the next few months. If he continues like this and the club makes room for him despite the impending crowding, he will have several weeks/months to receive his NHL salary ($867,500 per year) instead of his AHL salary ($70,000 per year).
In my opinion, he will end up giving back to his teammates in the coming months…
