Quebec’s Mathieu Bergeron enjoyed victory in his official NFL debut following the Atlanta Falcons’ 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers.
The lineman who was drafted at the beginning of the second round during the last selection session started the game as the starting guard. The Falcons offensive line allowed four sacks during the game and allowed the ground game to succeed with two touchdowns from Tyler Allgeier.
If the latter distinguished himself with two majors and 75 yards, it was the debut of the eighth pick of the draft, Bijan Robinson, that caught the attention of Atlanta. He showed all his talent by scoring a goal after the reception and a nice mascot to get rid of his roof. Robinson accumulated 56 yards on the ground and 27 yards in the air in this meeting.
This meeting also marked the debut of first choice Bryce Young for the Panthers. The quarterback had two interceptions and threw his first NFL touchdown pass when Hayden Hurst connected with him. Young completed 20 of 38 passes for 146 yards.
