Media reports said that Trump likened the Biden administration to the “Gestapo.”

American media reported, on Sunday, that former Republican President Donald Trump intensified his accusations of abuse of justice by the administration of his Democratic successor, Joe Biden, by comparing it to the Gestapo, the political police of Nazi Germany.

The Republican candidate for the November elections made these statements, on Saturday, during a meeting with his party leaders at his home in Mar-a-Lago in Florida (southeast), according to an audio recording provided to the American media by one of his campaign donors.

After being targeted by four separate criminal cases, including one in which he has been representing since April 15 in New York, Donald Trump has repeatedly condemned the “witch hunt” orchestrated by the Democratic administration to remove him from the presidential race.

Before an audience of Republican CEOs and donors, he accused Democrats on Saturday of “running a Gestapo-like administration” and once again denigrated prosecutors investigating the cases against him, according to comments reported by media outlets.

Joe Biden's campaign responded in a statement on Sunday, saying the Republican nominee's speeches only confirmed that “Trump's campaign is all about him, his anger, his revenge, and his lies.”
