Young dancers Michael and Angelina Novikova, aged eight and six, respectively, lit up the stage.american talents, During the auditions episode that aired on Tuesday, July 13th.
The duo’s engagement was even more special, as it came six years after Howie Mandel harshly criticized his older brother’s performance during a live broadcast.
A situation that Simon Cowell enjoyed so much that the latter even invited the mother of the two young fans to join them on stage to address his colleague with a few words.
« I would tell you that you were very insensitive. I saw a little kid dancing on stage with all his heart, he was doing his best, and I was really tough on him ‘ announced the main interested party, while Simon Cowell was happy to amplify the scope of each of his words.
A small attack in order could not be more ironic, considering that the judge of British descent is himself known for not having a tongue in his pocket.
Then, Michael and Angelina performed a very lively dance that wowed the judges and stunned Howie Mandel, even going so far as to apologize to the participants’ mother for the remarks he made at the time.
An apology that was clearly accepted, and then the two dancers got their pass for the next round.
