A new participatory space has opened at Courtelary College

The school year ends in Covicou’s apotheosis, the union of Cormoret, Villeret, and Courtelary schools. Pupils, parents, teachers, administration, authorities and craftsmen officially opened this Friday at the end of the day the new sharing space north of Courtelary College. A wooden runway built by the youth of the third cycle and surrounded by fruit trees, shrubs and small fruits planted by pupils of the Union Primary School.

Pupils from Cormoret and Villeret Primary Schools also participated in the project by growing aromatic plants and vegetables in their colleges. They will take advantage of the new participatory space once they enter the secondary school in Courtellare.

These two new products fall within the framework of the “Swiss Cultural Agents” pilot project, which will run for 4 years. Launched by the Mercator Swiss Foundation, it provides a cultural agent, someone who comes to work in schools to develop specific projects in the field of culture. The canton of Bern provided this project with an envelope of 12,500 francs per year. An opportunity for participating schools to create projects in the field of culture.
