Bad report about Jim in Australia

Bodies are more flexible, sexual abuse, teenage girls are humiliated because they are still fat: in Australia, a report released on Monday outlines the worst level of gymnastics training in recent decades.

Fifty or more of those questioned by the Australian Commission on Human Rights (AHRC) for the report testified, “I had a good life despite gymnastics,” an unnamed former top athlete testified.

“But I had to deal with the physical and psychological effects (of the game). I really wish I had never been in the gym elite.”

Evidence is cool throughout the report depicting the Australian gym in its dim light.

“Reports and investigations into abuse, child neglect, misconduct, intimidation, sexual harassment and assault (…) have not been carried out in the gym”, denigrating the AHRC, pointing to medical negligence and racist and sexual views by gymnasts.

“She (coach) was stretching me to the point where I wanted to die. The pain was excruciating … If I was tense or cried out in pain, she would count slowly,” said a former gymnast.

“When we stretched in the gym, (the coach) would have an erection and I felt him push back and forth on my hips or back.

One-third recalls: “I was plump, I was 11 years old and weighed 22 kg.

The Australian Gymnastics Federation, which appointed the inquiry from the AHRC, “wholeheartedly apologized to all the abused athletes and their families.”

He promised to accept the 12 recommendations proposed in the report.

Gymnastics has been rocked by a series of scams in recent years.

In the United States, Larry Nasser, a former physician on the American gymnastics team, has been accused of sexually abusing at least 265 top gymnasts, including two-time four-time Olympic champion Simon Byles.

In Great Britain, champions have condemned abuses within their discipline.

In early April, former Greek gymnasts claimed to have been abused for decades by their trainers as “similar to torture.”
