Joe Biden wanted to reduce oil production in the United States in his desire to combat global warming, but the fuel crisis is now making a big difference, and Americans are worried about filling their cars.
Reducing oil production in the United States during the 2020 presidential election is part of Joe Biden’s plan.
But when fuel prices peak in the country, as they do around the world, he must face the concern of fellow citizens who find surprising prices never seen before at service stations: more than five dollars per gallon (measured in the United States) or about € 1.3 per liter. As a result, Joe Biden called on U.S. oil companies to urgently increase domestic production to reduce prices, as oil production in the United States now stands at more than 11,000 barrels a day.
Is it not possible?
However, the latter did not significantly increase US oil production. Extraction costs would have actually been much higher in the country than needed. It is therefore the world’s largest producer within OPEC, which holds the key to this international fuel crisis. Keep in mind that they recently agreed to a slight increase in production, with no impact on prices at the moment.
