Dynamic with its vivid color and interplay of arcs, this large-scale work presents the experience of movement and illustrates the straight and intersecting paths of objects in action during a sport.
velocity It is formed thanks to the irregular games of arcs that overlap and scatter, which originate from the Earth to descend further or rise towards infinity. Bright colors were chosen to energize the lines, namely metallic silver, tango (bright orange), pure orange and saffron (yellow), in reference to school buses. The whole forms a path that runs through the alley in front of the Girardin Sports Center, inviting users to enter the heart of the action.
Since the 1980s, the distinguished artist has doubled solo and group exhibitions in Quebec, Canada, and Asia. It also has about thirty works of public art throughout the province, notably at the Montmorency metro station in Laval, on the Promenade Samuel de Champlain in Quebec City and at the University of Ottawa.
