US pays $ 10 million to find 6 Russian hackers

The United States on Tuesday announced a $ 10 million reward for information leading to the arrest of six Russian military intelligence agents accused of carrying out devastating cyber-attacks on businesses around the world in 2017.

Six operatives of Russia’s 74,455 military intelligence units were indicted in October by a large U.S. jury in a U.S. federal court for their involvement in a series of cyber-attacks, including some cyber-attacks affecting Ukraine’s power base.

The U.S. State Department blames these individuals for the nearly $ 1 billion loss in a computer attack that targeted several companies around the world in 2017 and damaged computers in hospitals across the United States.

Deportation is not an option, given the high probability that the defendants are currently in Russia.

The Kremlin dismissed the allegations as “russophobic” propaganda.

Russian military intelligence (GRU) has been blamed for several cyber-attacks around the world, some of which interfered in the 2016 US presidential campaign.
