United States | Mann pleads guilty to his role in the assassination of the President of Haiti

(Miami) Rodolphe Jarre, a Haitian-Chilean national, admitted Friday in Miami to “material support” for the commandos that assassinated Haitian President Jovenel Moise at his residence in 2021, according to court documents.

Mr. Jaar, 50, admitted to providing “material support and resources” knowing it would be used to kidnap and kill the leader of the impoverished Caribbean nation, according to his plea.

He is the first to plead guilty of 11 people arrested in the United States who have been charged with plotting the assassination from Miami, Florida.

Jovenel Moyes was killed in July 2021 by a commando of Colombian mercenaries in his private residence in Port-au-Prince without the intervention of his bodyguards.

According to the prosecution, Rudolf Jarre provided and armed the commandos.

He was filed in January 2022 in a Miami court, after his arrest in the Dominican Republic.

Florida Attorney General Marquinzi Lapointe announced at a news conference in Miami on February 15 that four more suspects have been arrested, including Venezuelan Antonio Intriago and Colombian Arcangel Britel Ortiz.

The American investigation revealed that these two men, at the head of the security company CTU in Miami, were planning to kidnap Jovenel Moss in order to replace him with an American citizen of Haitian origin named Christian Sanon.
