The Xbox Game Show won’t just focus on the next 12 months

In less than a month, the Xbox Games of the Year will be shown. It is one of the most anticipated shows by the community and is where Microsoft should unveil a lot of its upcoming exclusive projects. While the acquisition of Activision Blizzard is being finalized, the various Redmond teams should start submitting their projects.

So it looks like this year’s conference won’t just focus on what’s new for the next 12 months, as it was last year.

Microsoft wants to do its best at this year’s conference

Of course, the focus will be on upcoming games in a short period of time, most likely within the next twelve months. Games like Forza Motorsport, Starfield or Hellblade II will be at the center of this conference that promises to be amazing. However, according to Jez Corden, Microsoft will not only be showing off Instant Games, but will also make room for upcoming games later in the year. This opens the door to titles like Fable, Perfect Dark, new projects from Bethesda Studios, and more.

He made a statement during his podcast, Xbox Two, where he noted that what he’d heard is that some of the games that will be out are “likely over twelve months old.” What game are you most looking forward to seeing a new trailer for? We’re torn between Fable and Indiana Jones.
