Singer Cornelio, known from his time in the star Academy 2004, accused of drugging two people on two different occasions, in 2013 and 2016.
Legal proceedings regarding Cornelio Montino began in Montreal on Wednesday, Mr.H Audrey Roy Cloutier, Spokesperson for the Director of Criminal Prosecution and Criminal Prosecution.
Cornelio is accused, three years later in 2013 and then in 2016, of giving or causing his victims to take “a poison, a destructive substance.” [ou] harmful substance with intent to harm or torture that person,” the indictment states.
The 39-year-old was the subject of an arrest warrant on November 10, 2022 in Montreal, and was arrested a few days later, on November 14.
The case has been adjourned to February 14 for further proceedings.
In July 2019, legal proceedings were dropped against the singer in a case of theft from a Canadian Tire car in Laval and conspiracy, according to Montreal Journal.
Cornelio announced himself to the public in Quebec with his participation in the second season of star Academyin 2004.
