MEric Garland is the Attorney General of New America. The Senate on Wednesday approved the appointment of Judge Joe Biden by a 70-30 vote. The 68-year-old named his new office a “priority” in the fight against domestic terrorism and the attack on Capitol by supporters of former President Donald Trump.
He also promised to protect the ministry from political interference. An “urgent” task of the judiciary is to ensure that minorities and African-Americans are treated equally by the judiciary.

The 68-year-old is a highly respected judge and most recently served on a federal appellate court in the capital, Washington. In 2016, Republicans in the Senate refused to appoint him to the Supreme Court.
Influential Senator Mitch McConnell was one of 20 Republican senators who voted for Carland on Wednesday. In 2016, when he was the majority leader of the Senate at the time, he was instrumental in preventing Garland from being a judge on the Supreme Court. Carland was nominated for the post by then-Democratic President Barack Obama.
The Senate confirmed African American Marcia Fudge as Minister of Housing and Urban Development by a margin of 66 to 34 votes.
