The Rocket: Who will stop Emil Heinemann?

If the Laval Rocket is now in a position to make the playoffs, it is largely due to the exceptional performance of Emil Heinemann since arriving at the Montreal Canadiens school club. The team earned valuable points by defeating the Admirals 6-4 on Saturday in Milwaukee.

Heinemann scored a goal and added two assists, bringing his tally to six goals and eight points in just six games. The Swede must have already caught the attention of Martin St. Louis at the big club.

Combined with the individual performance, the Rocket won the fourth game in a row and now has 68 points in the standings, three more than its North Division pursuers, the Cleveland Monsters and Belleville Senators.

Perek imitated Dubi Heinemann with three points, including two very important goals in the third period. After losing 3-2 at the start of the clash, Laval entered with four goals. Defender William Trudeau also played an excellent game, feeding Dobbie perfectly with the winning goal.

Gabriel Bourque, Anthony Richard and Olivier Gallebaut were the other top scorers for Jean-François Holly’s men.

In a tight game, Kayden Primo finally edged out Devin Cooley with 23 saves on 27 blocked shots. The Admiral’s Doorman was busier with 30 parries in 35 rounds.

In a match whose outcome will be necessary for a playoff race, the Rocket will host the Monsters on Friday at Place Bell.
