The Golden Knights party in Vegas

Another playoff, another overtime. In front of their fans at the T-Mobile Center, the Vegas Golden Knights didn’t wait for fourth overtime to have the final say against the Dallas Stars, winning 4-3.

Backup forward Brett Hodden ended the hostilities in overtime. He initially missed a golden opportunity to settle the dispute, but recovered the puck and returned it to the sled of Jake Oettinger, who was completely confused about the sequence.

Carlson responds

Already in their fourth appearance in the Western Conference Finals, Nevada did not panic after conceding the first goal.

Benefiting from another strong start from Adin Hill, the ‘Golden Knights’ showed patience and took the lead thanks to two goals from William Carlsson. The Swedish forward jumped a putt return to equalize, then beat Jake Oettinger again with his devastating wrist shot.

With 24 goals in the playoffs, Carlson ranks second in Golden Knights history, behind only Jonathan Marchesault.

Finally Robertson

It’s hard to blame him because he still has 12 points in the first 13 games of the playoffs, but Jason Robertson has struggled to show off his sniper skills in the playoffs.

In his career, prior to Friday’s game, he had scored just three goals in 20 playoff games. Harvest is far below the level of the striker, who scored 41 and 46 goals in the last two seasons.

The California winger opened the scoring in the first half, scoring his first goal after an eight-game drought. He deflected a seemingly harmless shot from Rob Hintz to fool Hill’s alertness.

For its part, the Finnish center will surely get many votes for the Cone-Smith Trophy if the playoffs end today. He equalized in the third period with a stunning shot into the top corner. His 21 points are good for first place on the circuit.
