The file of the sheikhs will be resolved soon?

The suspense surrounding the sale of the Senators may end in Ottawa in the next few days.

The Ottawa Sun reported Sunday that it may have a preliminary agreement by next week with a new owner.

However, according to the Ottawa Daily, there will be a few factors related to this sale that have not been settled, including the eventual group of shareholders’ desire to build a new grandstand in downtown Ottawa.

The Senators’ owners, daughters of former owner Eugene Melnyk, could attempt to match certain offers, in order to create a larger union, if none of the proposals met their expectations.

There are currently four acquisition bids on the table to acquire the team from the federal capital, including one for $1 billion.

Entrepreneurs Steve Apostolopoulos, Michael Andlauer, Nico Sparks, Jeffrey and Michael Kimmel are also at the helm of a group that wants to acquire Senses.

Steve Apostolopoulos was among those bidding for the NFL’s Washington Chiefs. However, he did not win the auction.

For his part, Michael Andlauer is the minority owner of the Montreal Canadiens.

The Ottawa Senators have been officially for sale since November 2022.
