Airbnb admitted that between January 2018 and August 2021, it misled its customers by showing prices for items available in Australia with a dollar sign, but not specifying whether they were in Australian dollars (AUD) or US dollars (USD).
Thousands of them saw nothing but fire and even went to see their account statements. Because between the two currencies, there is a clear difference: during this period, one Australian dollar was worth about 0.72 US dollars.
