Suffering from aphasia, Bruce Willis must end his career

Bruce Willis had to abruptly end his long career due to illness.

Relatives of the American actor revealed, on Wednesday, that the latter suffers from aphasia, a language disorder in his written and oral form.

His family revealed on Instagram that the 67-year-old star has opted to retire due to this health issue.

“To all the wonderful Bruce fans, as a family we wanted to share that our dear Bruce has recently been suffering from some health issues and was recently diagnosed with aphasia, which has affected his cognitive abilities. For this reason, after much thought, Bruce has ended the career he loved so much. This is a very difficult time for our family, and we are so grateful for your love, sympathy and support. We are moving through it as a united family, and we wanted to let you know, because we know how much you love him, and he loves you again,” reads a signed post from his parents. Daughters, Rumer, Scout, Talula, Mabel and Evelyn, his wife Emma Hemming Willis and his ex-wife Demi Moore.

Having made his television debut in the 1980s, he achieved star status thanks to his role as John McClain in the film extremistin 1988. In addition to this hugely successful sequel, the last of which dates back to 2013, he also starred in The Sixth Sense, Armageddon And the Pulp Fiction, among others, which made him one of the most profitable actors in the history of cinema. Unfortunately, his star started to fade in the early 2000s as his films failed to attract critics.
