Air Transat passengers are exasperated after spending 24 hours in a US airport without food last Sunday.

“It was really the anger we felt. We felt like animals,” says Sebastien Mercader.

Sebastian had a wonderful vacation in the Dominican Republic, but the return trip last Saturday took another turn. Once the plane was boarded at 7:45 p.m., the passengers had to check out 3 hours later.

“No water, no toilets, no food,” the traveler denounces.

“There’s no wall at the entrance, so all the space is for mosquitoes to go into the world, there was no air conditioning, there was no seat, so the old people slept on the floor like dogs,” adds Catherine Fournier, a passenger on the plane. TS499.

By email, Air Transat apologized to its passengers and explained that this situation was beyond their control. The carrier also says it will reimburse any outstanding expenses and reimburse passengers for that flight.
