American Serena Williams dominated Swiss world number 12 Belinda Bencic in the second round of the National Bank Open in Toronto, 6-2, 6-4, on Wednesday. This may be his last lap on Canadian soil.

The 40-year-old Canadian champion has announced that she will soon be retiring from competition. The former world number one has not folded her back before the semi-finals in Toronto since 2005. She has reached the semi-finals or better in her last six appearances.
