Ricciardo descended into hell in the less-than-earthly F1 in America

A sad end to the journey of Daniel Ricciardo, who has been going through very difficult times in the premier division after showing the potential of the “Titreble” in Formula 1. Having won at Monza last year, with a touch of opportunism, the Australian didn’t really get along with McLaren and was perhaps cut out for his team-mate Lando Norris. As a result, no one wants to hire the relevant person who will be on the bench next year.

Ricciardo on F1: Ah, if only he had stayed at Renault/Alpine…

“I don’t know what to say. Honestly, it’s 2022, it’s a year, I can’t lean on it, I can’t attack it, I can’t reach the times it takes. The inconsistent lap times also show that it can be really painful, but again such a big gap is still a mystery. I love Texas, I love Austin, but racing is not interesting to me.

“Just when you think it can’t get any worse, it is. I don’t know how I can go on because it’s painful to say the least. I knew from the start of the race that it was going to be tricky. Unfortunately, we don’t have a catch. I couldn’t push the car like I saw others around me doing, so it was a hassle. We will keep our heads up and try to find a solution. Obviously, such days are very painful to deal with and understand because we have tried so hard but are not rewarded. We will continue.”

A misunderstanding for the driver, his crew and even the fans. And apparently, this decision cannot be contemplated, and he will have to leave at the end of 2020, when Renault (now Alpine F1) starts to reward his efforts. What would have been his path if he had stayed at Enstone? We’ll never know. Sad, especially since such smiles and such kindness will be missed in the Formula 1 paddock in 2023…
