Prince Harry wants to reconcile with Prince William and King Charles III

Prince Harry is keen to reconcile with his brother, Prince William, and his father, King Charles III.

In the trailer for an interview with ITV journalist Tom Bradby released on Monday (23 January 2013), the Duke of Sussex revealed he wants to reconnect with his family. However, according to him, his brother and father “did not show any desire for reconciliation.”

And the 38-year-old prince spoke about the tensions between them after his decision, and the decision of his wife Megan, Duchess of Sussex, to step down from her position as a senior member of the royal family at the beginning of 2020 and move to the United States.

In the Harry & Meghan documentary series, which premiered on Netflix last month, the American couple claimed they were harassed and unsupported while living in the UK. “I want a family, not an institution,” he said during the chat. They think it’s better to somehow keep us like the bad guys.”

In the trailer for an upcoming CBS interview, he claims he was “betrayed” by his family after “briefings, leaks, and published stories against him and his wife.”

“The family motto is ‘never complain, never explain’ but that’s just a motto,” he told 60 Minutes host Anderson Cooper. “They feed or have a conversation with (a) reporter, and that reporter is literally given information on a plate and they’ll write the article, and at the bottom of it they’ll say they’ve contacted Buckingham Palace for further comment. But the whole story has been commented on by Buckingham Palace. So when we’re told for six Years, ‘we can’t make a statement to protect you’, but you do it to other family members, there is a time when silence is treason.”

The two interviews will air on January 8, two days before the release of Prince Harry’s autobiography, Spear.

Buckingham Palace has not yet responded to Prince Harry’s new comments.
