While that Microsoft recently ended advertising in File Explorer, The company will now add other features, including tabs. Microsoft first revealed a redesign of File Explorer in ” Windows Powers the Future of Hybrid Work “Last April, a month after it started Test the feature as a hidden developer feature of Windows 11 in March.
The company finally announced a new version 25136 of Windows 11 Insider which, along with the usual bug fixes, brings File Explorer tabs and Widgets feature updates.
File Explorer gets tabs for easy navigation
The main novelty of the update is of course Introduction of tabs in file explorer. This add-on allows Work more easily on multiple files at the same time. The app also comes with a new left pane layout to help you navigate to your pinned and frequently used folders.
Another major feature tested in this version isAdd more dynamic content to Windows taskbar tools. Microsoft just added live updates to the Weather widget in Windows 11, but it’s already experimenting with automatic updating of sports and financial instruments, as well as news notifications.
Currently, even if you are a Windows Insider and your PC is set up to receive builds from the Dev Channel, you may not see the test right away. In fact, as Brandon LeBlanc, Microsoft’s program manager, points out, features are still being rolled out. In particular, society wants Wait for comments before sharing them with other testers. Unfortunately, it will not be available in this year’s 22H2 update, which Microsoft recently started rolling it out to the Insider channel.
