Marc-Andre Perrault wants to see Jonathan Drouin in front row to start the season

This season, it’s a hit or a watershed for Jonathan Drouin. After several tough straight seasons for him in Montreal, a healthy Quebecer will want to have a great season.

If Martin St-Louis used the Quebecer board in the first unit, I would be the first to be pleased. I have always been an advocate for the man. Playing in Montreal is not easy and even less dangerous if you were born in Quebec. Drouin is a very talented striker, and has developed some bad habits in terms of defensiveness over the past few years, but if he can work on that side of his laziness (in some situations) he could become a better player.

Could playing with Sean Monahan, with whom he seems to develop great chemistry, help Darwin? maybe yes.

At QMJHL, he could not force himself during all his appearances. On the other hand, in the NHL, he noticed it very quickly: he could not rely solely on his talent.

According to Perrault, if someone like Brendan Gallagher ends up with Coffield and the captain, “there’s a problem.” Same for Mike Hoffman.
