LAH: Rafael Harvey Benard takes matters into his own hands in third inning in Rocket win

HERSHEY, PA – Rafael Harvey Benard scored from a penalty kick in the third inning, setting the stage for Laval Rockets’ 4-2 win over the Hershey Bears on Sunday.

Harvey-Pinard came quietly in front of compatriot Zachary Fucale before giving him a feint and scoring a backhand.

He was well pardoned for two penalties he received, one of which led to a goal from Hershey.

The Quebec striker did it again with 1:41 to go in the final third, scoring the lock-down goal by shooting at the top moments after pivoting himself.

Harvey Benard presents himself with a great goal!

Harvey Bennard has five goals and seven assists in 23 games in his second campaign in the AHL.

Kayden Primo starred and scored 38 saves. The Bears also dominated 40-21 in shots on target.

Defensesman Cody Franson opened the scoring for the Bears on strong play at 10:15 in the first half after a Harvey Benard penalty put off the game.

Harvey Bennard was quick to forgive himself by leveling defender Amorosa before the end of the period.

Early in the second half, Bourke gave Sarki the lead on two goals to one with Lucas Videmo, who sent him a superb pass with a backhand.

But the lead was short-lived, as Alex Alekseev tied again after about four minutes.

Then, in the third period, Harvey Benard got a penalty and the young striker did not miss his chance.

Rocket played with fire throughout the match, taking six penalty kicks, giving the Bears five power-playing advantages, which they only managed to take advantage of once.
