Julie Belanger honors Jose Jude, her friend and co-host for the past nine years

In the pages of our magazine this morning, Jose Jude told us, In a long interviewwho chose to leave the shared hosting of The week ends well.

The decision clearly hasn’t been easy for someone who’s been in the co-host seat, alongside Julie Belanger, for nine years now, but he feels ready to move on with his career.

It must be said that the co-hosts, who became good friends over time, were very complete and did an excellent duo every Friday evening. Moreover, their complicity blew up the screen!

But now that the news has been publicly announced, Julie Belanger wanted to pay a sweet tribute to her co-host with whom she had enjoyed so much over the past nine years, but above all to her “boyfriend” who would be terribly missed.

“Dear Friend.
Do you know how much I will miss you?
When I think of you, I obviously think of the endless nonsense, laughter, and happiness you spread as soon as you walk into the room. Your hardworking side, your kindness, your respect for others. You are, by far, my best business partner. You made me better, and, as I have often said, you and I, together, made a beautiful light. We were stronger in 2!
Even if I am sad today to lose my co-host, and I no longer see you smile every week, I know I won a friend for life. This is very precious to me.
So here it is, thank you my friend for these nine wonderful years.
Go roll other balls on your nose and who knows, maybe we, when we’re older and wrinkled, will end our careers together on another project?

Remember, Julie Bellanger also made a similar decision recently, when she announced in January that she would not be returning to radio next year, after 14 years on the air.

So we doubt that she fully understands the choice her friend has made… but that doesn’t stop her from having problems, all the same!

Watch Ça fin bien la Semaine’s season finale show, which will be José Gaudet’s last show, on Friday, April 29th at 7pm on TVA. For the occasion, the comedian will receive a lot of surprises and his departure will be highly marked. This is not to be missed!
