Iron Maiden announce The Future Past UK and European tour for 2023

Iron Maiden Next summer they will embark on an arena tour of the UK and Europe called The Future Past Tour.

The tour set will include previously unreleased tracks from 2021’s Senjutsu album, 1986’s Somewhere in Time and tracks from other classic British metallers.

Speaking about the tour, bassist Steve Harris said: “Following the release of our latest album, Senjutsu, we’ve revamped the current Legacy of the Beast tour a bit by opening the show with the album’s first three songs, set against the backdrop of a Japanese palace.”

“Since it didn’t make much sense to do the same thing again for the Senjutsu tour, we thought about other options and decided to revisit Somewhere in Time because the album wasn’t included in the various back-to-back tours we’ve done over the years. They were based on our 80s concert videos, which unfortunately we didn’t do on this tour. Didn’t film (manager’s fault!). We’ve had fan requests over the years for several tracks from this album, so we’re going to play them now, and we know you’ll love them!”

“It’s so satisfying to finally be able to play some of Senjutsu’s epic songs, something we’ve been waiting a long time for! 2023 is going to be an amazing time and we look forward to seeing everyone back in the UK, Ireland and across Europe.

Maiden are currently on the final leg of their massive Legacy of the Beast World Tour in North America. More details on upcoming UK and European dates can be found below.
