The Osheaga Festival today announced its three titles. American band Foo Fighters, whose presence was revealed recently, has joined forces with British singer-songwriter Dua Lipa and American rapper A$AP Rocky, for the 2022 edition of the popular festival.

The Foo Fighters will perform on Friday, July 29, A$AP Rocky on Saturday, July 30 and Dua Lipa on Sunday, July 31 on the main stage on Ile Saint Helens in Montreal.

The announcement of the world’s leading trio represents a return to the normal that many music fans and event organizers have been waiting for.

Besides Francos de Montreal, the names Luidji, Clara Luciani (from France) and British singer Jane Birkin on the show also carry hope. Luidji will be at Club Soda on June 15, Luciani at MTELUS on the same evening, and Birkin will be at Théâtre Maisonneuve at Place des Arts on June 16, 2022.

FEQ will be revealed in 2022

In Quebec, the summer festival will not imitate Osheaga by revealing the content of its programming so quickly. “We don’t expect any announcements by the end of the year,” said Samantha McKinley, Director of Communications.

The only known title of 2022 is American rock band Rage Against the Machine, which was already scheduled to perform at FEQ 2020, which has been canceled due to the pandemic.

FEQ doesn’t yet know when their 2022 poster will be revealed, but we say we’re all too aware of the trend for festivals to announce programs earlier than usual.
