Netflix on Tuesday revealed a first glimpse of Dominic West and Elizabeth Debicki in their roles as Prince Charles and Lady Diana on Season 5 of “The Crown.”

The seasons of “The Crown” pass, and with them the chronology of the reign of Elizabeth II unfolds. In season five, the ’90s and its events will make the royal family riled up on screen, starting with the divorce of Diana and Prince Charles. In new episodes, these will be embodied by Elizabeth Debicki et al. Dominic West.

A first look at the cast as Netflix unveiled their royal characters on Tuesday. In one photo, the actress is seen with her hair cut in a pixie cut in the style of the famous Princess of Wales, lying on a sofa and staring into space intently. The resemblance to the mother of Princes Harry and William, who died in Paris in 1997, is disturbing in this visual. In the second, Dominic West dressed as the son of Queen Elizabeth II, displaying a worried look on his face.

Broadcast in 2022

The two actors succeed Emma Corrin and Josh O’Connor as a celebrity couple, who separated in 1996. The cast has also been adapted for other characters. Imelda Staunton will now play the role of Queen Elizabeth II. The first photo of the actress in the series was published a few weeks ago. Prince Philip will play Jonathan Pryce and Princess Anne, with Claudia Harrison and the Queen’s sister, Princess Margaret, played by Leslie Manville. The fifth season of “The Crown” is due in 2022 on Netflix.
