39H An edition of the Desjardins Mauricie Sport-homage Gala was held at Espace Shawinigan in La Cité de l’énergie under the honorary co-chairmanship of Denis Guay, director of the Caisse Desjardins du Centre-de-la-Mauricie, as well as Georges Larivière, an experienced researcher and speaker in the world of sports. 21 Desjardins Awards, Coup de cœur awards, Hats-off mentions and memorial honors have been presented.

Morrissey Sports Hall of Famer Dave Frost wanted to congratulate Patrick Charlebois, who completed the Volcano Marathon in Chile, Nicholas Berward, winner of the Le P’tit Train du Nord marathon, and Marie-Eve Nolte, winner of the Inversion. Hats off to Christian Langevin, for his induction into the Quebec Football Hall of Fame.
The Team of the Year trophy was awarded to the Shawinigan Cataractes of the QMJHL. Jean-Yves Tremblay, city councilor, accompanied by members from Cascade, Mario Boucher and Roger Lavergne, president, Louis Simon Gauthier, president of the jury, Micheline Guillemette, Sport-homage Mauricie, and Laurent Lavergne, from Cataractes.
