Detroit Red Wings 30 June 2022
It’s been a while since we suspected one of Lightning’s assistants would inherit a key coaching position for 2022-23, while the names Lalonde and Jeff Halpern have been in circulation for some time. It was Lalonde in the end who got profession With the Red Wings, succeeding Jeff Blashill.
The wings We have a great squad made up of many promising young players, including the latest Calder Cup winner, Moritz Ceder. So Lalonde will have to lead this group to a good destination.
In short, we’ll see if Lalonde is the right man for the job, but Yzerman has plunged into his old yard to find his man. I can’t wait to see what he can achieve there.
So there are still positions in Boston and Winnipeg to fill, but the candidates are clearly currently standing out.
