Life on the plane
Only the LT version remains in the Bolt EV lineup. Premier model exclusive to Bolt EUV. General Motors corrects several defects in the interior in 2022. The design has been revised. I found the old dashboard more dynamic, but the poor quality of the materials disappointed me. Now the look is wiser, but the finish and textures have been improved.
Hardware remains 100% digital and does not evolve. It presents all the information you need in a clear but unobtrusive way. The center screen remains the same at 10.2 inches. Simple, you can play in various multimedia settings or everything related to battery, power consumption and recharging. Below, air conditioning management is reviewed to improve the working environment. Same story for the transmission controls now with the buttons. Use is intuitive, and the pedal drive button is more easily accessible. Below, we get plenty of storage space.
However, the big news is the addition of new seats up front. From 2017 to 2021, we felt penance. GM replaced them, they aren’t comfortable anymore, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say they are. The seat is shallow, there is no lateral support and the backrest is a bit short. At least we no longer come out of the Bolt EV with muscle soreness.
For the rear, the seat is slightly higher and provides an interesting view with good clearance. As for the trunk, we develop a base capacity of 470/1614 liters depending on the position of the rear backrest. You should know that the bottom is not flat, so storing large items is not easy.
