As part of the poetic cycle “Women’s Landscapes”
During a writing residency at Sappey-en-Chartreuse in May 2019, Cecil O’Mahani You face nature with a powerful and overwhelming face. These landscapes of Chartreuse led her to the painter JMW Turner, who was unaware of her passing through the area. I discovered the collected drawings and watercolors at Carnet de Grenoble, now preserved at Tate Britain. The landscape around her opens suddenly towards the past, beyond the brute forces of nature, these tormented rocks that she examined day by day. From this experience his latest collection was born, La ronde des clouds, published by Editions la tête à l’envers in September 2022.
